Just a 20-minute drive from our Leeds hotel is Bulgogi Grill, a delicious Korean barbeque restaurant! The built-in barbeque hasn’t been put there by mistake. Oh no! Get ready, because you’ll be cooking your own food! You can choose from a selection of meats to cook on the grill, then when it’s cooked pop it in the lettuce and top with some rice! And there you have it. Delicious cooked Korean food. Wasn’t that easy!

Estabulo Rodizio Bar and Grill

Another grill on the list, but delicious nonetheless. Again, just a 20-minute drive from our budget hotel in Leeds is Estabulo Rodizio Bar and Grill. Get ready to feast upon meat, meat and more meat!  You’ll be served fresh, hot, juicy cuts of meat at your table and you’ll be given a card that's green to say ‘more meat please’ or flip it to red and let the server know ‘no more meat, I’m full!’ Veggies never fear, as the restaurant caters for everyone with a selection of meat-free dishes too! This dining experience is perfect for a date night, or for a night out with friends. But whatever you do...wear your comfiest outfit. We can feel the meat sweats already!

Mans Markets

In need of some Chinese food? Then we’ve got just the place for you. Head over to Mans Market, located on Wellington Street in Leeds. This place is one of the coolest eateries in town. Head down the stairs and you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d walked into a traditional Chinese restaurant! Nothing is what it seems here. They’ve taken Chinese favourites and put a modern twist on them. Take a hanging chicken kebab with sweet and sour sauce to drizzle over, or perhaps a beef in black bean sauce dish served in a pepper. Even the fortune cookies aren’t traditional...they’re filled with Nutella!

Cantina

Vegans and Veggies relax...we haven’t forgotten about you! Located down near the Playhouse in Leeds is Cantina - Leeds’ first, all-vegan eatery!  Serving up everything from vegan mac and cheese, to ‘Cluck Norris’ burgers and ‘Piggy Azelea’ loaded hotdogs. You’re sure to find something on the menu to enjoy. They even have a range of deals every day, from a simple main and a pint to bev and a bite. Be sure to ask what these offers include, but one thing we do know...even the biggest of meat eaters will no doubt be converted with this tasty menu!

Ecco Pizzeria

Now, given the heading, you’d automatically think of the doughy goodness that is pizza...when in fact, they actually do some really tasty desserts at Ecco Pizzeria. What’s the point in a meal out if you can’t have a pudding afterwards? It’s not exactly ‘unusual’ but we couldn’t resist putting it in. 

 

From waffles topped with banoffee or Nutella stuffed dough balls served with delicious homemade vanilla gelato ice cream, the hardest part will be deciding what to order! We’d definitely recommend the brownie served with salted caramel peanut butter, or for something a bit different, why not try one of their milkshakes? Strawberries and cream get our vote!

I stayed here for 2 nights in one of the disabled access rooms. I was staying alone as a wheelchair user, so a little worried about coping with things.

I had no problems whatsoever. The staff were extremely helpful and made my stay a pleasant and comfortable experience. I would certainly stay here again.

No kidding, but within 30 minutes of our arrival we had booked a further visit for later in the year. The surrounding area is very pleasant, the location appears quiet and is convenient for many local sites and attractions. The room, including bed was very comfortable, the staff most helpful.

Breakfast is included in your price here and much to choose from including bacon, sausage, egg, porridge, cereal, muesli, fruit, yogurt etc etc. I find this, for what we paid, hard to beat. We have family nearby so this is a good location and what we paid for what we received excellent value.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady at reception who sorted everything out. Once we were checked in and got to our rooms, the room was all set out and was very clean. Beds very comfy and price was right, would definitely recommend.

I have had the pleasure of staying here three times now and it never fails to impress! The hotel itself is well kept, very clean and tidy. The staff are amazing and just can’t do enough to make you feel welcome.

Breakfast is always hot and fresh, be it yogurt and fruit or full English you will enjoy! Beds are really comfy and the room its-self is great with good blackout curtains.

A varied group of 5 but the hotel met our requirements well. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, great having free WiFi, and breakfast included. The staff were very helpful and we found it an ideal location for touring around Yorkshire.

Recently stayed at the Holiday Inn East Leeds. Lovely friendly staff and a nice warm welcome. Beautiful clean and cosy rooms. Not one fault with this hotel, free breakfast and a Toby carvery joined on to the hotel, perfect. Paid £55 per night. Well worth it. Will definitely recommend and will stay again.

Nice and spacious rooms, bathroom very clean, everything in working order and free breakfast!

Location about 25 mins from Leeds city centre, however worked well for us as just off the motorway so able to get to other locations quickly. Staff very friendly, would definitely come again.

Spent a couple of nights here. We stayed in an accessible ground floor room which was great. Very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well.

Continental breakfast is included in the price which was very reasonable. Staff were lovely - sorting out our key card when it stopped working and finding me a nail file when I asked for one.

We went for a meal in Leeds one night and to a reception at Oulton Hall on the other. Staff arranged taxis both times without fuss. A small but perfectly functioning bar was welcome too!
